Updates

Fletch updates itself in the background. Builds are signed and notarized, and every update is cryptographically verified before it’s applied.

  1. On launch, Fletch checks for a newer release.
  2. If one exists, it downloads and stages it silently and shows an “Update ready” toast.
  3. From the toast you can Restart now to apply it, or defer — the staged update is applied the next time you launch Fletch.

Fletch never restarts on its own; you decide when to apply a waiting update.

Updates are checked against Fletch’s release feed and verified with a signature baked into the app, so a tampered or unsigned build won’t install.
